18-Mar-2011

Professor Rury Holman has been appointed as a Senior Investigator by the National Institute for Health Research (NIHR).

A total of 200 NIHR Senior Investigators make up the NIHR College, a selection of some of the UK's most outstanding healthcare researchers. Members are chosen according to the quality and volume of their research, its relevance to patients and the public, and the impact their work has on improvements in healthcare.

As a Senior Investigator, Prof. Holman will provide research leadership to the NIHR Faculty and give advice to the Department of Health's Director General for Research and Development.

Along with Prof. Holman, Prof. Paul Klenerman and Prof. Guy M. Goodwin, both also of the University of Oxford, were elected as Senior Investigators.
