With the Mahidol Oxford Tropical Medicine Research Unit (MORU), the Diabetes Trials Unit is running the COPCOV trial in the UK. This important global trial will answer the question whether health-care workers who take hydroxychloroquine, compared with a placebo, will have lower risk of getting COVID-19. COPCOV, which is a prevention rather than a treatment trial, will enrol healthcare workers from across the UK.
