History

Version 2.01

14-Apr-2009
Fixes a problem in the Macintosh version where male subjects are described as female in the printout, the results printed were, however, correct. The Windows version of the software does not suffer this problem and is therefor not changed.

Version 2.0

26-Feb-2004
Provides separate risk estimates and 95% confidence intervals for fatal coronary heart disease and fatal stroke. The printout of risk estimates for MacOS and Windows has been improved. Support has been added for PocketPC machines.

Version 1.2

20-Aug-2003
Fixes a minor issue with the help button on machines using Internet Explorer as the default browser on the Windows platform. Suppresses innapropriate reporting of risk estimated for subjects aged less than 20 at diagnosis.

Version 1.1

09-May-2003
Accepts lipid levels in mg/dl as well as mmol/l. Provides a graphical display of risk estimates. Calculates confidence intervals on a logistic scale to avoid values exceeding 100% or becoming negative. Now available for PalmOS and Macintosh platforms.

Version 1.0

26 Mar 2002
First release of the UKPDS Risk Engine program and Excel Spreadsheet. These provide risk estimates and 95% confidence intervals for coronary heart disease and stroke in individuals with type 2 diabetes not known to have heart disease. Risk estimates can be calculated for any given disease duration based on age, sex, ethnicity, smoking status, presence or absence of atrial fibrillation and levels of HbA1c, systolic blood pressure, total cholesterol and HDL cholesterol.
